I need a new booster
im not doing a reso, at all, much of the car is not stock
so the booster does not need to be the factory one

I am looking for something better and smaller

what i have come up with is using an 80-81 turbo trans am 4 wheel disc brake booster, is should be a dual diaphragm booster like 8" or 9"

u guys have any other suggestions, or will this booster work?

Thanks
Jon

Billet has some nice aluminum Master cylinders with a 7'' and 9'' Chrome booster. A bit pricey though.

You can pretty easily swap to a 3rd gen. Camaro booster if you have access to a welder. You MUST have your original booster as you will need the mounting bracket off of the back of it. Simply swap your old bracket off the old booster onto the back of the 3rd gen. booster and you will be set. They are dual-diaphragm, and are smaller in diamter. I believe them to be 10", but have not measured mine to see.

I have a brand new power brake booster from the Stainless Steel Brake kit I bought that I have deiced not to use because of concerns my motor will not create enough vacuum. The kit I bought was P/N SSB-A123-1 (medium size plated booster). I will make you a good deal if interested. It is still in the box never installed. E-mail randy.goodwin@scotts.com
