I have seen a lot of decals on Z28,s lately, including the Ford Fan Sticker, which is just plain WRONG.
My question is this- Was there ever the octane warning decal on 69 Z28,s? The one i am talking about is approx 2"x3" and talks about 97 octane fuel being used. If so where was it located?
My Canadian car never had 1, and i got into a discussion with a buddy who has it on his LA Z28.
Thanks in Advance. Mike.

It was common knowledge back then that big hi-perf V8's had to run on premium fuel. Put regular in it and you would know it. I once fueled up my 1970 SS 454 and the pump jockey mistakenly put in regular. Car would barely run.

My 2002 Trans Am never had one either. You had to find that info in the owners manual.

My Dad has a 1963 impala SS convertable he bought new out of the showroom ,327ci factory 4 spd, just a super 1 owner car worth alot of $ too,the owners manual says to only run ,get this ,"high test" gasoline,he says that there was a marked difference then because of leaded gasoline,I remember leaded gasoline but i never drove a car with it, I dont think, so dont know what this difference was like
