Hey guys, i posted this same post not too long ago, but i really need to know if ne one has any pictures of a big block heater box? i am gettin the hearter core tommarow, and i would like to know if anyone can give me some advice on how to do it?

i mainly need to know if theyre are any tricks, or do i just cut the holes?

It is fairly easy to do but take your time. This is how I did it and the results are excellent.
1)Remove both sides of the air box (interior and exterior)
2) fit the new heater core securely into the interior part.
3) screw 4 inch screws into the firewall side (at least 4) into the retaining holes for the firewall side box. Cut the heads off, the box must be able to slide along the screw to approach the firewall.
4) install the interior side
5) put a bright colored paint on the plastic tube covers on the new heater core.
6) slide the exterior portion of the box onto the screws and gently slide back towards the firewall until the box hits the tubes.
7) remove the exterior side, verify the transfer of the paint to the box and drill pilot holes.
8) reinstall the box and verify the line up through the pilot holes and if correct drill the holes to fit the plastic tube covers, no larger.
9) Install the box, and secure to the firewall, line up the reinforcing bracket, mark the screwhole
and drill.
Takes about 2 hours.
