I habve a 92 RS 305 TBI the car overheated on me once,It has not happened since but I have not driven it much(weekend summer cruiser) I noticed the top radiator hose was very hard so I changed the thermostat thinking it may have jammed.
Since then the car has not "overheated" but the top hose is still very hard after the car warms up and the overflow tank bubbles slightly.I cannot tell the temp because the in dash temp gauge is not working(adding aftermarket pod gauges Sat morning) I have heard everything from a clogged radiator to a blown head or head gasket any advice would be apreciated the car does not smoke and the exuast doesn't smell sweet like burning anti-freeze.

I have owned three third generation Camaros. My 87 and 92 had electric fans and would run hot. My 85 had a clutch fan and never overheated on me. I still have the 92 and I was looking into buying a Hypertech Cool Fan Switch to replace the original one. This switch will turn your fans on before the factory switch will. The one that I was looking at is on Summits web site and is only about $45. I have a friend that put one on his 88 Trans Am and it worked great.
