Today I installed the 12 bolt moser with the baer tracker rear brakes. I had to install a shim to compensate for welding on axle. but they fit fine. I have seen one other post saying you need custom adapters but moser and bear said shim and bolt and they are correct. If anyone wants me to post pictures I will do it today. Hopefully this can help someone who is wondering.

Hmmmm.
Your timing is perfect for me. I just received the last of the parts to install a Moser 12 bolt purchased for another project to another 69 Camaro that I have which also happens to have Baer disc brakes. I could use some pics of your install.
For ther record, I have the pressed on bearing option with GM housing ends. Also, Baer had me buy custom brackets from them to allow the install the Baer rear disc brakes.

I started post after installing drivers side it was easy but the passangers side dame I have tried every position and this is the best I can get it. It can't be right but if I move it anywhere else it worse. I can't find other pics anywhere but I will keep looking. Things I'm sure of are axle needs shim before baer plate" left side 2 shims/ right one shim" and centered the calaper to the rotor. Also one thin shim between calaper and plate.

Awesometool,
Thanks for the pics. I now know how the plate fits in there. Did you turn your axle flanges down or did Moser deliver them turned as required for proper fit of the caliper hats? This is not in relation to your problem, just curious.
I hope this all works out for you. I'm probably a few weeks out before I will have time to perform the rear end swaps.
Keep me posted on your progress.

Larry

Awesometool,
I noticed in the pics you are running CE or Cal-Tracs traction devices. If so, how did the spring baseplate fit with the brake set-up?

Larry when I ordered the Moser I did tell then the specs on brakes. The only thing that was bad it came with no clips and the axles don't have Moser emblem or diif cover bolts. Also it sounds stupid but I had not picked the tracs before axle installation so now I must remove front of spring to completely install tracs. Restoring is easy it's the aftermarket parts that kill me.

How did the disc brake brake install finally go?
Thanks again for the pics and installation notes.

My name is Scott (Boombotz)
I was just looking for baer on line because I just put their brakes on my 69 and I found this web page.
I put my brakes on a moser rear also.
I placed my driver side caliper @ 3 o'clock and my pas. side @ 9 o'clock.
this way the e brake lines all line up nice.
I also noticed you are using a slide a link.
I did the same.
If u would like I can send pics
The reason that I am trying to get Baer is because I've noticed a dragging noise from the brakes after I slow down and let off the brakes. did u notice this with your install and if so what went wrong and how do I fix it?
thanx for any suggestions
