It has production numbers. Some are even broken down for by RPO. I never checked 4th gen though, only 3rd. Dan edd Gordon Mar 12th, 06, 05:55 PM My 96 SS is Number 373. I think there was a total of 2410 SS made by SLP that year but you can check directly with SLP Website or Fourth Generation Website for the figures to make sure I am 61 years old and have Trouble remembering stuff like that. If we hold on to the 96 SS Cars maybe they will be worth alot of money in years to come like the first Gens, but with my luck I will be dead from Old Age before that happens LOL dsherw00d Mar 12th, 06, 07:01 PM More 3rd and 4th gens are popping up as the 1st gens are out of reach for many. The 3rd gens seem to be gaining some steam. Decent 3rd gens that were selling for $1500 a couple of years back are now selling for $4000. A few nice verts have sold for $10-12k and I seen one low mileage on ebay sell for $23k if I remember correctly. The first gen craze has brought attention to all years. Everyone trying to figure out what will be top seller on Barrett Jackson in a few years. I have a basic first gen coupe and a somewhat rare RPO'd third gen IROC vert and always watching for others. I wish I had one of your 4th gens. Goal is to have one from every gen in the garage. My neighbor has a mint 81 Z28 with the cross fire injection and something like 38k miles that would make a nice addition. He's had it since high school. -Dan |
