Was the color Ralleye Green (paint code "J") available on any 1968 Camaro, or only the SS and Z cars? Thanks, Bill Pankiw

Your's may be an SS car, but not all Ralleye green cars are SS cars. I think that's the original poster's question, and the answer is a definitive no, the color has nothing to do with SS or not SS.

I don't know if you could get that color on anything but an SS or a Z-28 but it was a second half of the year color. I believe Camaro eliminated black and White at the same time? When Enio's 1968 Yenko/COPO 9737 is restored, you are going to see one of the nicest Camaros in the country! (In any color)

OK, for the 3rd and final time, you COULD get that color on ANY 68 Camaro, why are ya'll doubting me? I'm a resident expert around here!!!!! :rolleyes:

Eventually my 68 RS vert is going to change color and I love this one. What exactly do I tell the bodyshop (if I have it painted) or what do I tell the auto paint store (if I do it myself) so that I get the right color?

Also, seems like I always see rallye green with black stripes. Was white stripes not an option? I'm thinking white BB with the white rag top will look real sharp.

kz1000ltd, I believe you!!! Back in the day, I just don't remember that color on that many Camaros. Mine is Corvette Bronze and it was the only 68 that color in the area. Most Rallye Green cars I have seen did come with white stripes!!!! I believe the few 1968 Yenkos and Enio's non-converted Rallye Green COPO were white stripe cars? I guess you could get the second half of the year colors on any model. I have a picture of my car sitting in front of "Kenny Ross Chevrolet" before I bought it and there is a Daytona Yellow non SS Camaro sitting to the right of my car.....(By the way, the Camaro posted above is a NICE looking car!)
