Hi all,
I am thinking about hooking up with some other First Gen Camaro folks from New Jersey and maybe get together for crusie nights and some weekend hangouts.
Can you picture a buch of First Gen Camaros crusing down the road.
If interested drop me a line.

I hope mine comes out of the shop some time within the next year. 7 years is a long time. But I have my 96 SS to play with for now.

Uh-oh, two threads ( http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?p=532934#post532934). :) I’ll try again.

No, no NJ people here. :) Actually, I think there was a NJ thread not too long ago. :) I'm in Hamilton (Trenton area)

Jackson would be a good meeting place, lots of cars, kind of centrally located. My 77 should be back on the road by the 1st Jackson show. The 67? Well, it won’t.

Then there is the 2006 East Coast F-Body Nationals (http://www.njfboa.org/forums/showthread.php?t=14064) up at Island Dragway in August.

Jackson is too crazy, I can't get there early enough to get a spot.

I say we meet at the englishtown cruise nights

Doug, have you been to E-Town cruise nights? How was it? I wanted to go last year, but the plan never came together. How was the crowds?

Sounds good. I'm new to things. I bought my 68 in Jan. (its my first) It would be cool to meet you guys. I'm learning a lot from reading the boards, but I've got a long way to go

And Jackson is easier than Freehold. I gave up on Freehold years ago.

I went to three e-town cruise nights last year. Great turn out and plenty of parking. Plus you get one free rip down the quarter. Fun time. They also have a burn out contest and rock crawling section for 4x4's.

I take the 68 Camaro to the Whiskey bar on Saturday's over the Summer.. and of course the Hooters Bar on Route 17 Paramus. But most certainly am gamed for a cruise in Jersey. Live in Paramus... my folks are in Toms River... between the two towns... I;m there.

Schoon... did you drop the new engine in your new ride... I'm at a dilemna of either getting a machine shop to pull apart the engine and re-seal.. the car leaks... and needs new valve seals. But the alternative maybe to go with a crate zz250 engine. If you know a good shop... keep me posted.

They work very hard on the club. And there are some very good guys in it; the forum is not totally representative of the club. It is a younger crowd then here, and mostly late models. I think in a few years when some people ‘age’ (or move on), the web ‘presence’ will improve. I hope we can get more 1st & 2nd gen cars out for meets next year. I will berate all of you when dates are set for 2007. :clonk:
