The Ronco wheels look like knock-off Twisted Vistas to me. I prefer the Vistas, or Twisted Vistas.

right now, ttII, cragar and weld are the top three...
probably reflects the demographics of this site.
the other wheels look more pro-touringish and probably would be better in 17-18" vice 15".

15 inch I would have to go with Rallys or these:

American Torque thrust orginals

http://www.americanracing.com/dealerline/blackimages/blackbig/b309.jpg

Or American Torque thrust D chrome

http://www.americanracing.com/dealerline/blackimages/blackbig/b605.jpg

Or The Silverstone Minilite copy

http://www.americanracing.com/dealerline/blackimages/blackbig/b401.jpg

Just call me old school when it comes to 15 inch wheels. I just don't think the TTO's and others look good in 15 inch, they seem to look out of place in that size. Sorry no vote from me, and just my opinon also. I mean no offence to your taste or what you want or like.

Thanks all. no need to keep voting, however feel free if you want. I decided to go with these http://www.newstalgiawheel.com/images/inventory/222.gif My car is Fathom Green and I wanted something not so "bling" and common (ie TT 2's) so I think this will look good. Anyway thanks all for the support.

My opinion...every car show I go to everyone has TTII's...not that I dont like them, but I decided to be a little different. I went with the Boyd Coddington Junk Yard Dog wheels, and I think they look awesome...If I had all the money in the world, I probably would go with the Foose Nitrous II. With a 2" dropped front end you will need to choose your backspacing wisely and see what is available. Mine is dropped 2" too and the Craigers I wanted to get I was affraid the backspacing they offer off the shelf wouldnt work. Have you thought about going with a larger rim, like a 17"?

I thought about it, but it's what eveyone is doing, big rims....I wanted to be different so I'm going more for a retro look...so 15's it is with 7 inch up front and 8 inch in the rear....once on I'll post pics...should look nice.

I really like the Silverstone Minilite copy wheels shown in Joe’s post but they look like they should be on a Shelby or Mopar. I might change my mind if I saw them on a Camaro. Does anyone have them on their first-gen?

o ok you want 15" mine are 16" and they cost half as less as the foose or billets or tt2 160 for 16" and 200 for 17" i think they look sweet and no one has them they are how ever dirty in that pic

I've read the threads about TTII's and TTD's being over used, and saw the comment about someone wanting TT's with black instead of gray / white, thats what I'd like as well. Anyone ever try powder coating over the gray/white center of a TT? I've never had anything powder coated before, understand the process a little, but not sure if it can be done. I assume the center of the TT would have to be brought back down to bare metal, then powder coated. I'd love to go black centers as well.
Any thoughts?

Imho, the CHEAPEST AND nicest wheel I ever ran across are Summit's stock FOMOCO Pony-Car Bullitts!!

They are on my car NOW!!

pdq67

PS., 17" x 8" w/ 5.72" b/s.., so you have to convert to the Ford 4,5" B/P as well as use spacers too.

No biggie at all and now I have 1/2" studs!!!Tires are 225 and 255/45-17's...

Only reget is that I wished I woulda bought the dark, steel-gray, ones instead of the light-gray ones, but that's just me and my remembering the old dark centered ET mag's of old!

I went through the same thing about three years ago. I decided to stay with a more 60's style wheel too. I liked the look and figured I'd never get tired of them. The tourqe thrust D's were a close second.

I'm all old school so what I really want are the Crager SS wheels. They are the wheels all the cool guys had back in the day. But I can't afford a set yet so I have the original rally wheels with trim rings (used to call them beauty rings). But I get so many comments about the rally wheels and how sharp they look I'm considering just leaving them on.

I think we're going to go with the American Racing Ansen Sprint 15" slot mags on 235 60s all around. (I also used to love the old Centerline rims with the 5 round holes and fancy cap)

Back again!!

I HAVE to throw out that one '60's wheel I really liked but I DON'T know if it is still made??

It is/was the CRAGAR "Road Star"! It was a triangle holed deep dish mag-chrome wheel that was COOL to me back then.

I don't remember if it had a cast center and steel rim or all cast?? BUT it was chromed.

Shorter triangle holes, not tall like the newer taller triangle holed Welds!!

the rallys are the way to go if you like the old school look, but I wanted something different, something the had some shine to it. If I change my mind I can put the Rallys back on but for now it is the C5 Coy's.

I am currently looking at rims as well. I have come down to four choices.

Torque Thrust TTO 17x8
Torque Thrust D 17x8/17x9.5 (custom... 3 MONTH WAIT)
Salt Flat 17x8 (painted center)
TT2 same as above

Call me a purist, but I think the classics always look better with a stlye of rim that fits. Coddingtons and Foose just draw too much attention away from the lines of the car IMHO.

For those wanting the TTO in 17 inch.... I tried to buy them today.. but they are'nt available yet in that size... just my luck!

IMO Boyd Smoothie IIs are the best 5-spoke for the buck plus they have the single step smooth outer lip like more expensive billet types which makes the wheel appear much larger than it is. I got a set (17x8 front & 18x9 back) plus Falken GR Betas (255/45ZR17s & 275/40ZR18s) for around $1700 shipped.
