View Full Version : If you were collecting 1st gen parts what would you collect?
Rocketrod Mar 13th, 06, 09:06 PM With the price of 1st gens and their parts skyrocketing doesn't it make you wish you had collected parts when they were much cheaper and readily available such as RS wiper motors, wheelwell mouldings (passenger side rear in particular), 12 bolt rearends and anything Z/28 or COPO related. With that being said what parts do you see becoming highly sought after in the future?
zuma Mar 13th, 06, 09:17 PM Original heater delete plates...$$ and easy to stack and store...also winters crossram intakes.....A few of those and I can retire...LOL Highly sought after in the future?...Real 69 Camaros....not the repro bodies that are popping up ...:D

Good point. Im saving every OEM piece I replace!
cfauver Mar 13th, 06, 10:10 PM i would take a case of original windlace for the door jambs, as well as a case of A pillar moldings. simple items but they can make or break your interior. garage full of 12 bolts and 427s wouldnt get it my way either.
cfauver Mar 13th, 06, 10:11 PM convertible pieces would be nice as well, im thinking the chrome trim and plastic rain gutter would fetch some cabbage.
Straight-line-69 Mar 13th, 06, 10:35 PM Nice original door panels,..Holley 780's,..original cowl-hood air cleaners,..69 Hurst shifters,..12-bolts,..original radios (that we threw away in the day),..original glass.
