Readjust the rockers,..see if it clears up the ticking. Can you tell which side of the engine?...might start there.

its on the driver side no.1 cylinder, all the rockers were fine when i checked them the lifters are hydryualic flat tappet lifters. ive heard engines that chatter a little but this one wasnt doing that untill i over reved it the engine only has about 300 miles on it.

Might be bent push rods, pull a couple out, get a piece of glass, nice and level, roll them on the glass, see if they wiggle, I bent some on a 427 years ago.

Its it loader when cold? and if disappear, come back on the highway at just off cruise?
If so I would suspect a cracked or damaged piston.
Have come across this several times over the yrs, and it has always been "driver side no.1 cylinder"
