Thanks. Gambitt go2fast Mar 14th, 06, 11:49 AM I've used good quality body filler on them. No problems afterwards. Gambitt Mar 14th, 06, 03:29 PM Thanks, I thought maybe there was something that actually was made to repair this dense type of rubber, like when you repair one of the modern day plastic bumpers. zigman Mar 14th, 06, 06:41 PM yes, there are products you can use that will work for you,...most body supply stores have it, it's a 2 part product that you mix up and apply, if you have a crack ,drill a 1/8th hole on each end of the crack so it dont go any further, then v-out the crack, if your bumper is off it helps to do the inside as well, just grind it up a bit and apply the 2 part repair on, it takes a bit to cure, but then you can block it off with 80 grit, feather out the repair and use 2 part polyester putty. ect, ect it works really goog and you'll be happy with it, it's flexible, unlike auto body filler |
