Im in the process of stripping down my 67 for body work and re-paint. Ive got a couple qeastions about removal of some chrome peices. First off, the lower chrome peice on the windshield..how the heck does that thing come off? 2nd..on the lower part of the door, there is a chrome strip. Ive removed the two screws in the front and back of it, but for the life of me, I cant figure out how it comes off. Also, the emblems on the fenders...whats the easist way to get at them? Thanks in advance,
James

1. The cowl vent grille panel (sheetmetal between the hood and windshield) has to be removed to get to the screws for the lower WS molding.
2. Don't know, I'm not a 67 guy.
3. Take the fenders off...you asked for the easiest way. If you have small hands, good dexterity, and don't mind getting torn up, you may be able to undo the bottom fender bolts only and flex the bottom out enough to get a wrench on the speed nuts that fasten the emblems.

The piece that runs along the bottom is not fun to remove. Its usually got a bunch of crap caked all in behind it from the front tires. If you got the screws out,see if you cant slide it just a little either foward or back, this helps. If you can visualize, the chrome pc you are taking off kind of looks like a "c" on the back. There is another pc that is mounted to the body that is shaped like a "u" with a slight outward bend at the top of each upright on the"u" pc...now if you got this so far the "c" fits over the"u" and the screws you removed lock under the slight outward bend of the "u" to hold it in place...what I did was take a small screw driver and slide under the bottom of the chrome "c' pc just a little push down on the chrome pc from the top with your thumb and twist the screwdriver and it should pop loose, work your way down till its off...wow thats hard to explain, and maybe some of the other guys got a better explaination but thats the best I can do

The door molding comes off by removeing the door pannel, you will find speed nuts i think four of them, at the bottom of the inside of the door
