Anyone have any idea what this person may have used for the checker board looking mats that are surounding the car?

This are not made from paper, it looks like hard tiling, or something. But I don't see where they join. They COULD be individual slabs (1 for each color) but they all appear to be perfectly aligned so I don't think they are seperate.

I want to have a checker board type floormat either UNDER the car, or surrounding the car.. Anyone have any idea's as to what I could use? (Not paper not table cloth material as the weight of the car would cause it to wrinkle.

Thanks

looks like vct(vinyl composition tile) to me.probably glued to 1/4" underlayment so you can move it in panels

you can get the 12 inch square white or black marbled tile at lowes for less than a dollar a tile. sears also makes a couple of different rubberized tile designs, coin and waffle that interlock.

Helped a friend do a display for his Lamborghini at show using a product called "Race Deck" ( www.racedeck.com )
The stuff is indivual pieces that lock together with a hook/loop system that really sticks together well.
He also has this stuff in his garage under some of his cars and it seems to be holding up really well.
There is another company that advertises in Hemming's but I can't remember the name of it - maybe you can look it up on the Hemming site ( www.hemmings.com )
