I know that you build the crate engines at salleechevrolet. Can you please explain how "desired quench" is .040 but I can't seem to get anywhere near that number with a stock ZZ4. The only way is to use a 64cc head and a .015 gasket...which you are not fond of. (thats from a reply on the sallee forum)

Do the ZZ3 and ZZ4 have a .025" deck height? Is this quench absolutely necessary? I have never had problems with detonation and I believe the ZZ3/ZZ4 is at .076 quench.
