My die grinder will run my air lines out of air, this is the same line that will keep up with a pressureized sand blaster.

I can turn it on and watch the regulator go down from 100lbs at the regulator to fifty lbs in short order, any ideas here, please.

Theres two sharpe F88 filters, then a sharpe 880A with a sharpe GA160U pressure gauge.

Attach the hose directly to the compressor, no QD's. If you have less than a 60 gal comp, it'll never keep up. Use a ball valve to shut off flow. Gate valves, like the outside water faucet, offer too much resistance to flow.

Die grinders use a min of 8 scfm. Small comp's, 45 gal and less, can only produce 6-7 scfm.

Check the specs on your die grinder, too. I've found that many "low-cost" air tools are much less efficient. My "no-name" $20 die Grinder has the same problem. My new very expensive ingersol rand die grinder does not.

Somethings plugged up, because It all worked before, it will be a bear to take everything apart. Would a regulator fail, I took it apart and it looks okay.

I found the problem, it was the first F88 filter stone, it was plugged.

When I changed out compressors, I changed all the filter stones out, so if you're putting in a new compressor, watch your pressure drop after a month or two.

This one is a porter cable 7 horse two stage.

I'm guessing it came out of the tank, maybe there is a film they put in to keep them from rusting, don't know.

Appreciate the help I always get, jimM, Everett#2390.
Thanks for the compliment Scott.
You guys have a good one.
