I am looking for some recommendations/advice how to remove VERY check original paint off my 1969 camaro. The only rust the car has is on the roof and trunk lid. I have only found some people that can sand blast the car. But some painters are concerned about warping my body. Does anyone know of a Media blaster close to Columbus Oh?

Spirit do a search on this topic, it has been discussed many times and if I remember right a few strippers in the Ohio area were suggested/mentioned. I will say you DO NOT want to "sand" blast our car. There are other forms of blasting (baking soda, walnut shells, plastic media, etc...) that are not as har on the panels as sand. You can also chemically strip the car. My personal preference is to use a sander and do it by hand.

I did mine a few yrs back
I got it bead blasted (DONT sand blast the advice u got is correct.
Before I sent it in I used a 5 inch grinder with a 40 grit sanding pad and ripped into the paint...ONLY down to the orginal grey Zn/epoxy and carefull not to scratch this. (sand blasting removes this bead blasting will not), and specify u want down to that level.
Putting the disc grinder thru the paint, the objective is not to remove, but rather rip it to make the bead blasting faster and saves a lot of money.
Again DONT remove the orginal panel gray epoxy!!
