My cars instrument panel has warped a little from the heat over the years. I was thinking about one of the reproduction panels. One question though, my car has the center clock in the dash...can this be put in the repo too, or do you just have to leave it out?

my original was getting very brittle and the chrome was fading so i bought a repro from Rick's for my 69 and am pleased. it's not a perfect match but did fit well. i put a tach, center clock, and speedminder in mine. all the markings are on the back for the speedminder and tach. the clock i just copied from my old dash. cut small and enlarge to fit properly.
the things i did notice were the chrome edges on the bezels vary in width a little where as the originals were parallel.
i did have to transfer the mounting hardware from the old to the new. the tabs on the back of the new one had to be sanded down a little to accept the clips that hold the turn signal light connectors.
the plastic is a little thicker around the screw holes for the left side vent bezel and the 2 tabs under the steering column trim piece. this is all good as the originals tended to crack there.
all-in-all it took me a couple of days of careful measuring and transfering of the necessary pieces to get mine ready to mount in the car.
there is one hole for mounting the dash pad ear that will not line up correctly. it's the one on the left side near the door, you can see it in the first pic.
here's some pics of the repro.

Thanks, that completely answers my question. Looks like you did a really nice job. I think after seeing how good yours looks I will definitely put one in my car...all of the originals are getting pretty rough.

it's real close and with a little patience and tweeking it'll go right in. unless you're very familiar with 69's nobody will ever know unless you telll them.
i did use a small dremel to cut out any openings for my tach and clock and rear defrost. measure twice and cut once as they say.

Nothing better than hearing from someone who has actually done it...again, I appreciate you taking the time to tell me about it. Thanks.
