I'm looking to put VETTE C4 IRS on my 69. I don't know if it work well??? Somebody have did this conversion before?

I bought a Wayne Due's rear brakets to fit my DANA 44. Do you thinks it a better way to use the C4 front subframe or i can use C5?

Somewhere else have to sell is C4 front Wayne Due's subframe???

I'm looking for this option (C4 front and rear)...

Finaly, if i put 18" wheels on this set up, (18x9 front and 18x12 rear) what is the minimum back spacing i can put on my wheels????

Thx.

Please only post the same topic once. It will get seen... I know you asked suspension and tire/wheel question but split them up... Someone wanting to give wheel help might not make it past the suspension questions... It helps everyone with the search feature also. Thanks,

You will not be able to run a 12" wide wheel with a C4 rear unless you narrow it and mini tub the car.

I'm going to mini tub the car. What is the wider tire can you put on a DANA 44? I'm looking 18x12? 18x11?

thx

Frank!

Keep sending pics! Whatta motivation!

I'm kidding Jouf 'cause he's a buddy of mine and he keeps telling me i should put an IRS in mine too. He just got his complete kit (front-rear) last week end and he is starting his project soon.

'Gonna be another killer ride!

Its been two weeks now since i bought my 345's and no sign of 'em in the mail yet....(shipping delay 'cause of e-check...wrong button, my bad)

....To me, having the most available rubber was the focal point. I ''Heard'' that it is a lot of trouble to modify the IRS set up (if you shorten the shafts you modify the geometry?) and thats part of whats keeping me away from it.

Jouf69 swares by the front AND rear 'vette set-up 'cause its a complet matching kit.. and also probably 'cause he can't afford the complete car (:p !)

How did you go about modifying your set up? I know Jouf would like to run at least 335-18's, but all he tells me he's seen (except your's) seem to be running a max of 315's on 11" rims (original set up?), it must be a frame rail limitation i suppose... i mean, its not like the difference is that much important... can't you just run less backspacing or do you end up in the quarters with the original lenght shafts? (i have no clue of the dimensions)

'Got your latest pic on my desktop now!

Thanks!

Nice job Frank!

Do you thinks i can run 335 whit no modification on the DANA 44?

Leadfoot : You have to work on you car... If your project go a this speed all the time, your gonna have a nice Pro-Touring Car in maby 10 years!
