which weatherstripping are you talking about?up in the top of where the door glass meets the body?

yes i think it is weatherstrip cement (3M)
clean out the channel and reapply as the new weatherstrip is going in.
dont cut off the little tits on the weatherstripping aswell.
they get pressed into holes
