Have a 1994 LT1 camaro... service engine soon light comes on for a few minutes then goes off... i changed the oil, car seems to be running fine... is this a serious light? or does it have any specific indication (ie change plugs, wires etc) ?

As long as the Check engine light goes off, there shouldn't be any problems. What you can do is clear any trouble codes by disconnecting your battery for a minute and reconnecting up the battery. Then drive your car around for awhile and seeing if the Check engine light comes on. If it does then you can take your car in for a service and they will use an engine analyzer to pull out any trouble codes stored in the ECM.
