Okay I just need someone to confirm what I think I know. Dropped the Trans to replace my clutch. I took a stab to save some time and ordered a 10.4 zoom. Well when I got the old clutch out it was a 10.4 but the PP was for an 11-inch clutch. Don’t know if this is a frequent problem or someone was just too lazy (or cheap) to put the proper size clutch in when they built the motor. So I just called and re-ordered an 11 in clutch and PP. I did right didn’t I guys? My bad for trying to save a day or two. This also brings up a question on my flywheel. I just had it resurfaced and bolted it in. Will it be okay just bolted up to the car for a week I don’t want in surface rust to start since I won’t be able to get back to work on this until next weekend

Yes, you did right and you can leave it for for a few weeks fine. A 10.4 with an 11 PP has less clamping force than a 10.4C and a 10.4PP.

I have the 11inch bellhousing (staggered starter bolts). the 621..... the car I have was bought on a good deal, so it is a mystery car until something needs fixing... so there is NO WAY there is a 10.5 flywheel in there right? I dont want to order the wrong clutch.... the 621 told me the only thing it could be is an 11 inch?

I don't think the starter would fit. You could have an 11" PP with a 10.4" clutch like the guy that started this thread. I've seen it more than you would expect.

so witht he 621 regardless I can buy a new 11 inch clutch and the flywheel has to be one for an 11 since the starter is on the 621. just want to make sure i can buy a clutch without doign a return... 11 inch right?
