I have a 68 with a 454 the tie rod/cross link hit the oil pan limiting the turn of the car, is antone familiar with a dropped link offered or a way to cure the problem. It has an oversize pan on it.

Although my car is a small block I have a road race milodon pan that had a similar problem. I ended up using heim joints for the ends and had to drill out the center drag link to accomodate 5/8 hardware (maybe not the most preferred method but it works quite well). Not necessarily recommended for a daily driver since the joints do wear fairly fast, I used the graphite lubricated style and they have held up so far.

Maybe include some pics so we can see the pan style etc especially with the steering at the lock position.

The way I see it you have several options, to name a few add some steering limiters on the LCA.

Or possibly buy the an after market Center drag link like the one from global west- not sure if that would help depends on where the placement is for the inner rod end ( I believe this is more for bump steer limiting). SS
