hi all what is the diff between dp401 and dp402 catalyst. should one be used insted of the other?

The main difference is the potlife between the two. Potlife is how long you have to spray it before its no longer any good. Better words potlife is shelflife.

dp401 is 72 hrs
dp402 is 8hrs
But 401 has a 30min induction time. That means once you mix it up it, it MUST sit for 30mins before you can spray it. So you mix it up and let it sit in the cup for 30mins before you spray.
402 has NO induction time, therefor easier to use.

401 has a longer time to topcoat. You must wait 60mins before you can apply any other product over 401. If you applied 2 coats of 401 the time is increased to 90mins

402 the topcoat time is 30mins. 2 coats is 60mins

402 also scuffs/sands easier then 401. Either one sands nice to begin with but 402 is a tad easier to scuff.

So basically to me pick 402, the induction time is a royal PIA...Eric
