I know Hurst offers a factory rebuild for shifters. I see on their website that a rebuild is $90.00 and an additional $30.00 for rechroming the handle. What exactly does this service include? Do they rebuild and replate the shifter assy as well? Shifter rods? Has anyone had this done, and if so, were you happy with the results? Thanks.

I sent them my shifter and it came back looking brand new. They media blasted all the parts, changed and cleaned all the internals pieces and even added a stainless steel bottom cover. Other then the metal pitting it looked brand new. I only wish I sent in the handle with it. The guy who does the work also answers the phone and is very helpful.

Did they cad plate it, or use a comparable finish? Did you send them the shift rods too? Did they phosphate finish them, or do they just do the shifter itself?
