...anyone have a photo of the necessary PS brackets for a '68 big block? (on the car/motor) (is there just one bracket or two?)
And ...is the PS bracket on a '68 the same as for '67 and different than '69?
Thanks,
Kevin

There is only one correct bracket. Problem is you have a number to choose from. There are several P/S pumps also, depending upon position of the return line (five possibilities) and whether it's a bolt on or press fit pulley.
Good luck and a sorry I couldn't be more helpful as to GM part number and availability. After trying a number of combinations and throwing belts constantly I finally went with March's system of pulleys and mounting brackets out of frustration. I'm not that found of billet aluminum brackets as stamped steel is more compact, but they work as advertised.

Dave,
...Thanks for your reply. I haven't gotten to the point of 'throwing' pulleys, ...however I am finding as you mentioned, ...there seems to be multiple ways of mounting.
...since I'm restoring, ...I hope to find what was 'correct'. (...back to the AIM...)
Thanks,
Kevin

Kevin, There is only one type of bracket used on bb 67-68 engines. The cradle bracket is very simular in looks to the sb bracket, but they are different. The back adjuster bracket for a bb is totally different than the sb one. If you are throwing belts the pulleys could also be the problem. Tell me what you have(a/c, smog, etc) and I can tell you the pulley numbers that the factory used. mike

THANKS! for the replies...
What I have is a '68 396, P/S and smog.
The pulleys I have (and not yet set up, ...since I'm finally getting around to it):
P/S Pulley 3925537 AC
Water Pump 3900434 AB
Crank (and Ext.) pulleys 3874418 BS and 3925525 BR
...looking for smog parts as we speak (but I believe the pulley on that would be 3917234)
...and Ed, ...thanks for the photo. Your parts seem to match the Asm Manual pics...

Kevin,
Have you seen the PULLEY SPREADSHEET (http://www.camaros.org/pulleys-68-28jul00.pdf) from the CRG site?
