mine is one driver side and i dont think it looks right..my friends 68 has it on the pass side....can i use 68 braketry to mount it on the pass side....or can i get a better looking hose from somewhere and keep it on the diver side..the hose i had was huge and the aluminum fittings were tacky

all 68 and earlier chevy's had the alternator on the drivers side, a/c on pass side, short water pump, and no accessory bracket holes in the heads.

all 69 and newer chevy's had the alternator on the pass side, a/c on drivers side, long water pumps, and all new bracketry which attached using the accessory holes now in the front of the heads.

(note: sentences starting with ALL do not include corvettes!!)

You could move it, but it would be a nightmare, and the 69 up bracketry is better and more stable.

I think you'd be looking at an all aftermarket serpentine setup. Seems to me I have seen some that mount the alternator low and the compressor on top on the pass side.

mine's far from stock... but it is a/c on passenger side. It was kind of a pain in the butt since there's not nearly as many bracket choices available for that side mounting. I ended up using a Zoops brand bracket setup for the AC Compressor and Alternator, and I believe it was March for the Power Steering. Anyways, here's the picture:
