1. What color is the Hood spring and hinge on an SS car?[Cowl Inducted Hood]
2. Same question for the hood latch release [upper valence to the Rad support area]
3. Spring and pin attached to the hood?
4. Finally the inside of the front fenders? Are they gray factory primer color with my body color overspray or??? Could you guys also recommend a spray balm with part# that would work best for the request above? I've been using the Dupi-Color product so far, but am open to any suggestions...

Look for "cast blast" cast iron colored finish for the hinges, springs, and latch pieces. It is as close as you can get in a rattle can to the original gray phosphate coating.

Cowl hoods use standard hood springs. SS hood has unique springs.

My car is a Z11 Convt, so it used the Standard hood springs. Is the spring and hinge the same color? I've heard some where that they were actually different???

I have purchased NOS standard and SS springs. The standard springs are "service replacements" that differ somewhat from production pieces. The "SS" springs were the same as production. Both were dark flat almost charcoal gray. The hinges would be that color as well AFAIK. "Cast Blast" cast iron finish is half a shade lighter and has a slight gloss. Hope this helps.

OK, now that I'm up to speed on the bolt on items. How about the Cowl termination points. After scrubbing my car down with AJAX and a good brush, I found my car is grey under the bottom side with white overspray. This topic was discussed last year and it was noted that a few did leave the factory this way. I just noticed that The black face doesn't go all the down into the tunnel or on the bottom side of the frame/body perches. Where does the black end? Its hard to tell from factory and somebody's rattle can job in the past. Does the black exceed onto the outer front sides of the firewall or just the engine bay area? I can send pics of what my car currently looks like to prove what I have. Thanks for the help again...
