I had a 1968 Corvette that had the Hooker header/sidepipes. The look was awesome and when the car was idling, you could feel the rumble as well as hear it. The headers come off of the heads and the primary tubes remain seperated as they go beneath the frame side-by-side and into the collector on the outside of the car. The collector is attached to a 4" tube that runs below the door. In the near future, I plan to build a 1968 Baldwin/Motion Camaro Clone (or something like it). I will most likely be using a 454 for the engine. I would really like to find sidepipes like these. Hooker makes them for small block Camaros and Big Block Vettes. Unfortunatly they don't make them for big block Camaros. I have used the Patriot version single tube pipes before, and they are just okay. I have gotten quotes for a custom installation which is around $3000 plus shipping back and forth from SC to OH. Hooker's pipes are around $1100. Does anyone have any ideas about where I can locate header/sidepipes like the ones described above?
