I need to replace the master cylinder on my '69 RS/SS 350/300
Ricks makes what they call a "correct" number replacement.Does anyone know if these look good enough to be worth the extra money?
Any other suggestions ?
Also my booster is painted black, should it be Gold Cadium ?
Thanks
Billy

I guess it depends on which one you get. I just replaced my master and I got it from Heartbeatcity, it's a rebuilt original. I think that 's the same thing you get from Rick's. I also had my booster rebuilt and replated, it looks great. FYI, if you go that route rebuild the proportioning valve under the master. If you're going for originality then you have no choice on the price. But hey, you have a nice car and doing it "correct" definitly will not hurt it in any way.

Thanx fdny37,

If you want one that looks correct, except that it does not have the US stamp, send me a PM. It is not the 309 casting, but is the right shape and has the correct looking bleeders.

If mine was orig. I would see about having it rebuilt. It's not so I bought one of the reproduction "308" 's on ebay.
$92.00 and it looks pretty good.
