i wanted to paint my louvers soon and would like to know the best method to use for removing the paint from the chrome fins when i finish painting them. should i use laquer thinner with a rag or a fine scotch brite pad? also, is there a gasket that fits between the louvers and the hood. it looks like there was something between the two, but i can't tell if it is a gasket or just old paint. thanks!

Somebody else just asked this recently. I think that people were saying that after you paint them to put some laquer thinner on your finger and go over the fins. I think there is a gasket that goes underneath them but I may be wrong.
