New bee to the camaros .Guys i need some help can any one tell me what kind of mods i need to do the swap. Will the zz502 oil pan clear the crossmember ? Do i have to change position of the motor mounts on the frame .It presently as a small block in it. What motor mounts will i need model #'s what kind of headers.....guys i would like all your in put on this subject thanks

You need an aftermarket pan because the 502 ships with a truck pan. GM believes that most people buying ZZ502s are putting them in light and mid duty trucks. They also believe no one wants the new LS7 in a convertible.

Other than the oil pan, everything else is generic to big block conversion.

Do you what type of after market pan i should get excuse my for my ignorance... year or make???

Gen VI pan with kick-outs by Milodon, Canfield or Moroso for one piece rear main seal. Seven quart capacity and only 8 inches deep (same depth as stock V-8). You will need headers and motor mounts out of a '70-'73 (only years for BBC in a second gen Camro) bigger radiator, and transmission unless you have a standard transmission. You should already have an 8.5" 10 bolt rear installed now but it will need beefing up. Other than that watch out for the Smog Police.

Ditto on Larger Dave's suggestions I did one already on Camaro and My Chevelle
