I'd like to see your pictures of a locking hood release, especially a cable operated design. I'm looking for something that operates like a modern release: 1) prevents unlocking from the outside and 2) trips the primary latch from inside.

I've seen an aftermarket "inside hood release kit" in the Classic Industries catalog (p/n T9376) that looks like a deadbolt. Looks like it would perform function 1) but not 2).

i work is a hot rod shop and we have done this numerous time for any car..my boss' 68 camaro is one if them and we will do the same to my 69 he ahs te trunk and hood like this....we go to wrecking yard and get a ton of them then fab up brakets and so forth...works liek a charm for the hood and trunk and can be hidden anywhere he has his in the center console
