Hello everyone, thanks for clicking here...need some advise on how to: test my gas gage? and how to test my sender unit? thanks for your help..

Chris, is the sending unit in the tank or out of the car? If it's out of the car you can test the send unit with an ohm meter. With the float up, I believe it should read about 90 ohms and drop lower as you lower the float. That will give you an idea as to if it is working or not.

Yes.. on one car its out and on the other its in ...i will check that Dave thank-you for responding so fast i was just about to go out to the garage and thank you Jim..im printing it as i type and will carry it out to the garage with me ...as im walking in the rain..talking to myself..:confused: ..

Jim any way to make the title for that gas guage sticky flashing red font. :D

I am thinking of making ALL of them flash, or something. I think I've refered posters to one or another of them stickies 12 times this week. Nice thing is, I often get an email or pm back that says "thanks it worked." course they could just post a followup in the thread and go easy on my inbox!...lmao
