Alright everyone, I have a 67 RS, with what I was told are original Rally Wheels. What do I have to look for (I'm an idiot and no nothing about them) to find out if this is true or not? Thanks y'all.

View Full Version : 1967 Rally Wheels sdmatt Mar 25th, 06, 12:11 PM Alright everyone, I have a 67 RS, with what I was told are original Rally Wheels. What do I have to look for (I'm an idiot and no nothing about them) to find out if this is true or not? Thanks y'all. Matt Alex_67 Mar 25th, 06, 12:14 PM Take a look at this nice site: http://www.camaros.org/suspen.shtml#Wheels Tons of good infos there! William Mar 25th, 06, 02:21 PM Short take: Rally wheels were not an option for 1967. They were part of the front disc brake option. If your car does not have front discs it did not have those wheels originally. CFunK Mar 25th, 06, 10:23 PM William, what are you talking about??!?!? William Mar 26th, 06, 02:25 PM Rally wheels first became an option in '68. They were included with front disc brakes in '67 for A, B, F & X body Chevs. CFunK Mar 26th, 06, 05:03 PM I re-read what you posted and you put me on a research mission. Sure enough, all my resources indicate that the Rally rim only came with disc brakes in '67. Learn something new everyday! I assume drum brake '67 cars got a steel wheel with a hub cap? William Mar 26th, 06, 05:45 PM Useless trivia: I was messing with these things back then and they were not called rally wheels, at least not right away. They were "disc brake wheels." Yup, drum brake cars had the standard steel wheel with base hub cap or an optional wheel cover. Scary to think Nickey/Dana/Yenko stuffed 427s in Camaros with standard drum brakes.
