well the car is almost done, i posted 2 pics in the showroom, anyway, i have this one rubber, it's round and about an inch thick with a threaded stud on it, i got the car in a "box" so i dont know where it goes, as far as the rest, a lot of research went into this because nothing was bagged and tagged so it took a long time to get the bolts for the right holes, this rubber though? any help would be appreciated, after all isnt a firebird a glorified camaro?

Is it for the hood, when you close it, for adjustment on the front height.

That would be a gusset bumper and you should have two of them. Without them your gussets will sag, gotta hate that.

It mounts between the upper bumper bar and the gusset.

Since you are a fellow bird owner I apolagize for having fun at your expense. Try this link. http://www.1968firebird.org/illustrated/front/bump1.html
Scroll down to the 69 and look at #28 and then let me know what questions you may still have. I have the front off of one right now and I could walk you through it.

hmmm , i do need them 2 gussets they are missing, that's unfortunately not what i have ,it's just got the stud through the one end,i was looking through the ames catalogue hoping to find it , i must have missed it though cause i didnt see it, i'll take another look in the books tomorrow, maybe the assembly manual i have might have it ,but that's like looking for a needle in a haystack, cause of all the illustrations they have in the manual

I have one that only has the stud coming through one side, it was rusted and snapped off. lol Post or send me a picture when you can. If that is not it, it may not belong to the car.
