im getting ready to do a front disc brake conversion.
I also am changing out ALL the brake lines with stainless steel.
the conversion kit is a power front disc setup.
what i have on now is non power drums. (EEEK)
my problem is the new lines which are OEM specs.
I just dont know where to start?
are the drum lines similar to the power brake lines?
I got about 8 or 9 hard lines to run and even though after time ill figure it out im looking for something to go by like a diagram of the piping system with the oem PNlines and placement in the car.

Dawg.....Do you have an assembly manual? That will help you out a great deal. I can say that the front to rear, driver's side and the passenger front lines will be the same as the drum set up. When you get to the Master cylinder, it will be a different set up because you will use a different Proportioning valve.

I just installed my new SS lines (2 piece) and will tell you I found feeding the front line by starting under the hood and pushing it thru and over the subframe, then carefully pulling it from beneath, I went back and forth about 4 times and had it in without much effort. Rear install went pretty good as well, feed it from the rear towards the front work it over the subframe connector as I did, I was quite impressed with how smooth it went in. Used the $2 IF brass unit from Pep Boys to join the two lines.
I did have to buy a new Metering Valve since the new SS lines were setup for the Metering Valve to exist, bought it at Classic and they sent me a Right Stuff metering valve. Seems you can get the Metering Valve the cheapest directly from Rightstuff for $79 and the Bracket for $25.
Tried manual bleeding the rears and after 40 pumps I gave up and hooked up the vacuum bleeder, few seconds later I had fluid all the way to the rear drums, then I could manually bleed furthest to closest. Watch that fluid though, vacuum bleed sucked the reservior pretty good, luckily I was watching it.

The true OE lines are totally different for disc than for drum where they go to the front wheel line brackets. They are also different for 69 vs. 67-8 discs.
Most kits are made to use your drum brake line brackets for the front brakes, so should not be a problem. 67-69 drum lines are basically same.
