Can someone tell me how I should paint the bottom of my new floorpan? Or better yet, post some pictures of an original one? I'm to the point of paint/and or undercoating. Also, if you can, what is suppose to be on the underside of the trunk pan?

I'm pretty certain that most cars were dark gray primer on all underside sheet metal. That is what my car has on the original trunk pan and floor pan undersides. Wish I had a pic to show you...kind of a dark battleship gray (looks almost black in low light).
edit: ask and you shall receive-

That is original primer (not grease or dirt- I know because I cleaned it off first!) in the center portion of the pan plug.

Thanks Chop for the pic. I haven't seen cars with the dark gray underside. I have only seen cars with the semi-gloss black with over sprays. Anyone else got opinions?

Maybe that paint started off life as semi-gloss black. Age, heat and road debris could have changed the appearance. Looks much the same with the gas tank dropped though.

Mine was all undercoat that was blasted off. It is now all DP-90. I plan on using a spray on bed liner as an undercoat. Red to be exact. I just don't cae for gooey undercoating but want more protection.
