I just found this web site, I own a 1992 camaro rs I appoligise if Im not doing this right I'm not really good at this kinda stuff. I am just trying to find out if anyone knows about the problem im having now, which is my oil sending unit was pegging out to the right then going to the center then going back full right. I changed out the sending unit then started the car, but no oil pressure within 5 seconds so I shut it down. When I got out the oil had drained out of the engine so I jacked the car up and no oil was around the sending unit but appeared to be coming out a weep hole just above the oil filter housing.

Is the weep hole on the block?

maybe the rod on the oil pump punctured the block , i am not sure but i don't think theres any kind of plugs there for anything. you may consider taking it into a shop and having it looked over. Because that was probably what was causing the eractic behavior in the gauge.
