Hi Guys:
I just put new wheels and bfg radial ta tires on my 68 camaro.
front p235 60r15
rear p275 60r15
Torque thrust d wheels
The front tires rub the fender rim intermittently. When the wheel is full right, and when I'm driving and go over a dip in the road I hear a rub from the right front side. The chrome trim on the left front fender rim looks like it was torn by the tire. No damage to the tire.
I had the same size front tires before except I had rally wheels that have the same 3.75 inch backspacing as the torque thrusts.
When the wheel is turned full throw either way there is very little visible space between the back of the tire and the fender liner.
I can't figure out why this is happening with the same size tire and the same backspacing as the rally wheels.
Could it be weak shocks?
They are konis that are about 8 years old.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Scott
