Anyone ever heard of a 6 inch dia. power brake booster? I can find 7 inch but may need the clearance for the 454 I am installing. The valve covers are bigger then my previous 454 and it was tight before. I thought going from 11 inch (stock) to 7 inch would be ok, however, the racing shop I am using is suggesting the 6 inch.

Any help?

i have not ever heard of a 6" booster
and a 7" booster is not much larger than the brakets that hold the booster, so i dont think that a 6" booster would work

One thing to look out for is to make sure that the Valve covers will clear the wiper motor. You might have to go with some low profile valve covers.

Thanks guys. 7" is as small a unit that is available. Would like to avoid changing the valve covers but I may not have a choice. If you want to see the engine I am dropping in you can go to steveschmidtracing.com and look at the picture on the main page. It is the 555 big block.
