Hey! I've come to a decission about how to upgrade my suspension... for the most part! I'm gunna get a Hotchkis TVS and a front disk brake conversion. One thing i dont know is whether to go with Drop spindles, or lowering springs. My brother says drop spindles allow a longer spring to absorb the shock of a bump and allow a smoother ride but still let you have a firm handle on the road. I have read that drop spindles will cause steering component issues however, and even possable bumpsteer?? What are the advantages of having drop spindles, and what advantages do lowering springs have over the drop spindles? Any input will help!
Thankyou very much!

Yup thats right they do cause those problems, and in some cases the tires will not even fit on because the tie rod hits the tire
check pozzi's site that importkiller linked to, shows exactly what the problems are
and i have hotchkis stuff all the way around, and its amazing

Amen to that ...
I too am a victim of tie rod to tire damage due to drop spindles.
Tore it all out and went with drop springs.

Did the manufacturers of the drop spindles put the tie rod at a different location? That's pretty dumb, I was only aware of the tire/tie rod interference.
