I bought a 70 Camaro last year, then ended up selling it late summer. I then was searching for either a 67-73 Camaro or a 68-72 Chevelle. I want to thank those of you who answered the few questions I had when looking at a couple Camaros. I didn't end up with one, but I got the next best thing. Here's the 71 Chevelle I picked up...

Nice! Black is absolutely the proper color for that car........

While I love black cars, I hate the extra maintenance it requires! I can keep it dust free for about a minute. hehe

Yea, but it is the coolest minute you can have, just short of well, you know what!

I have the same car-a 71SS454. Black, like yours with a black vinyl top. Mine has a TH400, 3.73 with posi. Has a bench seat. It has all power and a/c. I have had it 2 years. Good luck.

This one has...

zz502 crate engine
Rossler th400 trans
3600 stall
4:11 posi
Hotchkis suspension

To sum it up, a fun hotrod. Previous owner said it runs consistent 11.8's in the quarter and showed time slips with pics. I'll test her out myself this summer.

I can see it going side ways now! You gotta dump the mud flaps though!

Very nice car, but, I see a few problems. #1, not in my driveway. #2, not in my driveway. Enjoy yourself. Looks great.

Is the 1971 the most valuable???

No, the 71 and 72's don't bring as much as the earlier years. The 70 Chevelle seems to bring the most money with the 69 behind that.

Guess it's all a matter of personal taste. I like all Chevelles, but prefer 68 through 72 Chevelles.

Many people feel the ultimate Chevelle would be a 70 front clip with a 71 or 72 back end.
