i have a '67 camaro and i am wondering if the front fenders off a '67 firebird is an equal fit for my camaro.

They will mount up, but they are not a perfect replacement for Camaro fenders. The Firebird fenders are shaped differently to accomodate the Firebird grill and bumper- so unless you are intent on creating a Firecamaro keep looking.

The 67 & 68 Firebird front fenders will work as Camaro standard (non rs) fenders. They even have the Camaro headlight mounting tabs, but the Camaro fenders have an indent in them for the corner bumper brackets that the Firebird fenders lack. The inner fenders are the same as well but there is about 2-3” cut off of the forward inside area to clear the Bird bumper brackets. The repro fenders I bought for my Camaro are going to need a little hammer and dolly work in the same area, the indents are poorly formed compared to crisp bends for the indent on the oem fenders.

Hey Chop! You may be thinking of the 69 fenders. Now those are a whole different animal.
