I picked up a 396, which turned out to be a 402.... but that's another story. Anyway, I've started pulling the motor apart and the rod bearings weren't in too good of shape. The crank definitely needs to be turned and it's already .10 under.

Now if I have the crank turned to .20 under, then I have to get new rods right? Or just new .20 under rod bearings?

Just the bearings - all BBC rods use the same size big end, bearings go from std to .050 under. Unless you plan to beat the snot out of it, you should be fine.
