I was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to get the power brake booster back to an original appearance. The booster is painted black and is peeling from brake fluid coming into contact with it so its really ugly right now. I was thinking if I took it off and maybe tried to get the paint off then buff it or something like that??!!

You can get the black paint off of it, shouldnt be to big of an issue.

As far as restoring the original gold cad plating thats left on it, your pretty much out of luck. What plating left is there. By rubbing and cleaning on it, its easy to remove the plating, but cant "add" much to it.

I am currently doing just that. Give Steve Gregori a call @http://www.brakeboosters.com/
A wonderful person to deal with.
I should have mine back real soon.

I used Steve for mine. Turned out great. Then after sitting at the painter's for 2 years, it was pretty blotchy. I sent it back to Steve, and for a very fair price, he redid it.

Steve did a great job on mine. Expect to pay around $200.
