I want to paint the underbottom of my 67 Camaro and the frame; what type enamel paint should I use and how much paint to thinner should I use.
I also want to use rubberrized undercoat afterwards; any problems with this.

Why paint the floor before undercoating - seems like unnecessary time and money??
I did a frame off restoration on my car and I'm very picky. I have a California car and cleaned/prepared the whole underside of the car and then undercoated it with black Evercoat undercoatng (you can get Evercoat products at most paint supplies stores and at auto parts stores). This undercoating is available in a spray can or for an undercoating gun. Still looks great!
One of most difficult things is getting the car high enough so you can work and spray it properly.
Good luck - its a big job!

I hate under coating. It ads a lot of weight to the car and is a magnet for dirt and crud. I live in the northeast, and have stripped a lot of them, yuck. Just my .02.

I have to agree with 69er, on both accounts, it must be a Northeastern thing, hey, cars were driven in winter. I hated taking that stuff off my '81 Z/28, (years later), and to think I paid $300 for the factory to do that to my new zee back then!(I never drove it in winter and realized it wasn't neccesary.) Why spray on heavy undercoating when you don't need too on a climate where you don't see winter (snow, salt/sand thrown on roads). I personally think paint is a better looking choice, These camaro's are now usually put away for the winter up here.

I painted my 68 undercarriage and frame with Eastwoods Corraless rust inhibitor primer followed by their chassis black. I too live in the north, and the original undercoating was a pain to remove and may have helped to trap moisture causing my floors rust. Maybe the original undercoating wasn't properly applied. I'm in agreement with just painting the bottom vs. undercoating.

If you use POR-15 or Corroless you don't need to undercoat it. They should give you plenty of protection.
