we are painting the car, now it is fresh painted and we want to add the bumble bee. I bought the original GM pencil kit from classic industrie and it is a sticker .
i don't want a sticker i want to paint it white. I wonder how we can do.

Anybody experienced this before?

please tell me.

Are you sure it's a stripe kit, instead of a stencil kit? Maybe it's a new part number, but I haven't seen that Bumble bee stripe in a decal yet. Check 'cause they are both made of the same material, if I can remember when I installed mine, you remove the tape from the to be painted areas.

yes it is a stencil kit. Then it might be too late to paint the bumble bee as the car already received his paint all over the body.

Can the bumblee bee be painted on the car? it seems like not but i might have understood it badly.
I am not painting the car myself and my bodyman doesn't understnad what to do. He painted the car already.

My car was painted and clear coated before the SS stripes were painted on, using a stencil kit. I decided to doit the same way as the factory did, paint the stripes over the base paint, without hiding the paint lines with the clear coat as others preffer.

Yes, you can paint the stripe on now. The preparation necessary will depend on the type of paint that was used to paint the car. Your bodyman will have this information.

MArc, painting the stripes AFTER the car is painted is the correct way Chevy did it. Chrysler did their stripes opposite.
