Anyone seen anny mesurement points to fix wrecked cars?
Factory install points? annything?
I am currently trying to install a golden liegen right 1/4 and its to far forward in the door. If I move it back it will overhang the decklid.

I mesured between the a pillar and inner rear 1/4 on both sides and im within 1/16th. I mesured 1/4 left and right and they both are within 1/16th as well.

It would seem that the car is short between the front of the rear wheel openeing and tail somwhere. But I dont see anny wrinkles in the trunk or rear filler panel. allso from the filler window ledge to tunk lid is within 1/8th as well on both sides

I need about 1/2" or more to get my door lined up.

Realizing that my outter 1/4 is 1/2" or more to tight to the door and that the inner is within 1/116th I cant figure it out (yet)

And OH lord the roof is next (before i weld 1/4 of course)

Thanks in advance

Check for kinks in the frame rails. My 67' was backed into a tree or something and you can see a kink in the rail about where the bumpstop screws on. Mine was also like your were everything else lines up or measures close, so I know the frustration you are going thru.

Hmm Good thinking. I didnt even consider the rails as i am going to hack them out and use some from chassisworks.

Lord allmighty I hope i dont need to have the body pulled.

If anyone has mesurments id still greatly apriciate them.

or a book? Didnt bodyshops have books with mesurments for pulls?

Thnks again Ken F

we checked 7 difforent first gen shells, all of them were severly off, some by an inch in some places....check distances from the joining of the toe panel and the floor pan, going back....just find any referance points on the left, then do the right, chances are you will see some crazy numbers..
