i just spackled the trunk in my 67 ss/rs it still feels tacky after a couple of days? i used original gm stuff it was supposed to be fast dry. followed the directions shook can for a full two minutes before spraying. and intermitly while spraying. i scraped down to bare metal then applied one-step rust conversion first and let that dry overnite before applying.also when and if it finally dries do i spay any clear or something else over it to protect it? thanks guys.

If its humid or damp weather it will take longer to dry.The reason the paint splatters is that one color is latex, yes thats right DO NOT APPLY on BARE METAL.And the other color is solvent based,so if its humid or damp it may just take awhile to dry.You can clear it but I personally dont think it looks as good with clear but Ive done both ways.

It's water based. I let it dry for a week then clear it with semi gloss clear. If you dont clear it it will turn into a mess if it gets wet.
